Wood Patio

This patio is almost all in wood to stunning effect. The fire feature and the extension of the roof are extraordinary. The steel blue colour of the exterior of the patio gives it a brilliant effect of the pool reflecting onto the exterior of the patio. The cane furniture gives it a further grunge look. The floor could have done with a darker polish. All in all, a spectacular patio… just perfect for your breakfast outside and even beeter for a cocktail evening!

Excellent article from Houzz

Whether it’s a manicured front lawn, stone-paved pathway or intricate landscape design, landscapes benefit from the same attention to detail that the interior of your home does. Well-executed landscaping ideas can upgrade your home’s entire aesthetic, and the right plants, flowers and shrubbery can greatly enhance your curb appeal by adding color, texture and even fragrance to your yard.

Before starting on your new landscape design, survey your area and make some notes; you cannot concretely consider certain landscape decorating ideas unless you identify what kind of climate you are living in, how much you are willing to spend and how much space you have to work with. Additionally, as you browse several landscape ideas and landscape pictures and make notes about the designs and landscapes that really jump out at you, keep in mind what level of ongoing maintenance is actually feasible.

If you love working with plants, a large rose or vegetable garden is the perfect use of land; if you live in a hot or dry area, consider drought-tolerant landscape ideas. If you have younger kids, consider what they would enjoy as well, such as a large grassy area or a playground, swing set or pool. Think about what your family would use the most, as well as what would help boost your resell value in the long run. Lastly, when it comes to landscapes, be sure to consider different front and backyard ideas, as they are separate entities that serve two very different purposes.

Brick and blue stone pavers

Somehow I am fascinated by brick pavers. They keep testing my creative limits and I am surprised by how adaptable these garden paths are to different materials. These brick and blue stone pavers form just the perfect materials for a grunge look against overgrown leafy sides. Eclectic cushion colour grabber!

Eclectic. That’s the one word that comes to mind with this colour grabbing cushion scene. You might be wondering how in heavens is it possible to have such a comfortable setting in Dubai, with the mercury reaching up as it does! Well… anythings possible in Dubai! #LovinDubai

Rocks in a garden…

If you’ve got space in your back yard this is a good option if you like the rustic kind of look. As opposed to contemporary where the lines are clean and sharp these rocks give a laid back look to your garden. At the same time these kind of rocky gardens are easier to maintain :)… Just right for a dreamy walk around and recommended for busy folks since this wouldn’t take up too much of your time to look after.
